So your momkii can bring you joy for as long as possible
Momkii is made for everyday life. For playing, relaxing, building forts, having friends over and all the little accidents that are simply part of family life.
Regular care does not have to be complicated. Just a few simple habits can help keep both the covers and foam components in good condition.
Everyday care
Start simple. With a vacuum cleaner.
Just like on a regular sofa, dust, crumbs, hair and pet hair gradually collect on the cover. Regular vacuuming is therefore the simplest way to keep momkii clean without having to wash the cover too often.
Ideally, use an upholstery attachment and vacuum the cover gently without unnecessary pressure. How often you need to do this mainly depends on how intensively your momkii is used.
Indoor covers
Remove, wash, put back on
momkii indoor covers are removable, so if they become more heavily soiled, you can simply take them off and wash them.
Wash at 30 °C.
Use a gentle wash cycle and always follow the care instructions provided for the specific cover.
For everyday stains, one simple rule applies: the sooner you act, the better. Remove dirt gently and avoid unnecessary rubbing. If you use a cleaning product, test it first on a small, inconspicuous area of the cover.
Avoid bleach and aggressive cleaning products. On covers with a water-repellent finish, a small amount of liquid can usually be quickly absorbed or wiped away before it penetrates deeper into the material.
When the accident goes further
What to do with soiled foam
If liquid soaks through to the foam component, act as quickly as possible. Gradually absorb excess moisture with an absorbent material. Do not squeeze or scrub the foam forcefully.
Then allow it to air out thoroughly and dry completely in a dry space. Put the cover back on only once the foam component is completely dry.
If the foam remains uncovered for a longer period, we recommend protecting it from direct sunlight. Light-coloured foam may change shade when exposed to light, but this does not affect its functional properties.
Caring for OUTDOOR
Outdoor covers do not belong in the washing machine
The OUTDOOR cover has a different construction and surface treatment from the indoor versions. To preserve its properties, we recommend cleaning it by hand only.
Use a mild soapy solution, lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Remove dirt with gentle circular motions and avoid vigorous scrubbing.
The surface treatment helps repel water, but it does not make the material completely waterproof. Larger amounts of liquid may still penetrate through to the foam components.
When momkii takes a break
Give the foam space to return to shape
Foam components benefit from a dry environment, plenty of space and occasional airing. When storing them for longer periods, avoid unnecessary compression or folding.
- Do not store them vacuum-packed for long periods.
- Do not leave heavy objects on them for extended periods.
- Avoid unnecessary folding or compressing of the foam components.
- Keep them dry and protect them from prolonged exposure to moisture.
If the set turns into a fortress, slide or large family lounging area during the day, simply leave it spread out freely again in the evening.
